I got nominated for the Liebster Award

Well… Looks like I got nominated for another one of these awards! Sweet!

Once again I’d like to thank avathenerd over at Reads, Rhythms and Ruminations for nominating me for this award. Her blog is awesome and you should definitely check it out!

Nominate 11 people and give them 11 different questions to answer – [I’m really lazy and everyone I’d nominate has probably had this before, so I’m breaking the rules and missing this out. Sorry guys!]

 

The Questions:

1. Flight or Invisibility?

I can’t believe I found a relevant Tanaka picture for this…

Invisibility. Although flying would be really cool and convenient, being invisible would be more so for me. There’s something fun about being able to hide your presence from the rest of the world. Just think of the benefits! I could sleep in work. I could avoid work entirely and sleep instead. I could be lazy forever by being invisible.

…I think I’m choosing invisibility for all the wrong reasons…

2. Ice Cream of Chocolate?

I’ve never been the biggest ice cream fan to begin with, so chocolate is definitely my choice here. I eat chocolate almost every day. I shouldn’t, but the sugar helps me wake up and gets me through the day. I’d be too sleepy otherwise.

I should really cut down…

3. Would you rather live without your legs or without your hands?

That’s easy. My legs. I need my hands to type blog posts and carry out most of my daily tasks. Since I’m lazy and don’t like moving, I’d rather lose my legs if I had to.

Walking is nice though… I’d rather keep both!

4. Name a mythological creature you wish to have as your pet?

Does Mokona count?

Mokona isn’t a mythological creature you say?

But I want Mokona as pet. He’s so cute and cuddly!

I pick Mokona!

5. World Peace or Immortality?

I’d actually have to go with immortality for this one. The thought of death and no longer existing or being remembered after death absolutely terrifies me. It’s one of my biggest fears. It scares me enough that I’d rather live forever than gift the world with everlasting piece.

I’m a selfish guy. I like living. Sorry world!

6. Heroes or Anti-heroes?

While I do slightly lean more towards the anti-hero archetype because they tend to be more complex and morally conflicted characters, I generally don’t have a preference for either of them.

Both heroes and anti-heroes can be interesting and incredible in their own way and for different reasons. For me, it depends more on the character themselves than the archetype they fit.

Izuku Midoriya would be a great example of a hero. He embodies the concept of traditional heroism perfectly. As for an anti-hero a great example would be Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho, he does the right thing in many cases, but he’s pretty ruthless while doing it and kills more characters than anyone else in the series.

7. Do you believe in aliens?

While I don’t necessarily believe that there are little green men in flying saucers out there in the deepest, darkest, uncharted regions of space, I think it’s very likely there is extraterrestrial life somewhere else out there in the universe.

Of the billions of planets our incredibly vast universe, I find it very hard to believe that we’re the only one with intelligent life and an advanced civilisation.

There has to be another planet out there somewhere with another intelligent species similar to, or the same as, humans with their own social structure and way of life. It’s more likely than the opposite.

8. Tea of Coffee?

Coffee of course. The caffeine helps me fight the lethargy I experience every day.

My work even has a coffee club. It’s great!

…I actually don’t drink that much though. I end up with an awful headache if I do.

9. The genre that you like the most?

I tend to like just about every genre, but my favourites would have to be Battle Shounen, Psychological and Fantasy. I’ve also recently taken a liking to really dark and dreary series, although that’s mostly exclusive to Manga, since most of those types of stories that I like haven’t been adapted into Anime and probably never will.

Overall though, I like anything that has an engaging storyline, fun and relatable characters or interesting themes and ideas. I love ideas and I love a show to have lots of things going on.

10. What is the weather like where you live?

It’s really awful. It’s always freezing and in Winter it gets ridiculous. It’s also always cloudy or raining, even in Summer. We’re very lucky to get a week of proper sunshine a year. When we do though, it gets pretty hot. By “pretty hot” I actually mean much colder than pretty much any sunny country in the world, but because we aren’t properly equipped to handle “good” weather in my country (air conditioning may as well not exist at all) the heat is irritating and sticky and annoying…

Yeah, my country sucks for weather. Don’t come here for a holiday.

11. If you could travel through time,  but only once,  where would you go – the past or the future?

I’d probably go back to the past to fix some crucial mistakes I made when I was younger.

But at the same time, it’s hard to say if I’d be the same person I am today without having made those mistakes.

So maybe the future to see how thing would end up…

…This is hard!
